I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
